DISSS is what we do
The world is more than ever asking for innovative solutions to help both create and maintain a safe, secure and resilient society. In order to actively contribute to this cause and establish “safe and secure spaces”, the Dutch Institute for Safe and Secure Spaces (DISSS) was founded on 22 April 2022.
As a non-profit organisation, DISSS conducts research and develops innovative solutions for safe and secure spaces, placing human beings and their natural behaviours at the heart of its activities and innovations.
DISSS Programmes
DISSS focuses on the following three thematic areas. The Institute continuously tests whether and how its efforts fit within these three programmes. In addition, projects will be selected on their social relevance.
Protecting public spaces
Protecting private spaces
Protecting personal spaces
